Julie Burns brings over 20 years experience as a corporate and financial executive to her client engagements. As a senior executive at Ingram Book Group, the nation's leading wholesaler of trade books and magazines, Julie utilized her leadership skills to manage and expand a billion dollar enterprise.
Julie held various positions during the 12+ years she spent with Ingram Book Group. As President of Ingram Book Company, Spring Arbor Distributors and Ingram International Inc., Julie had profit and loss responsibility for divisions that generated annual revenues over $1.2 billion and served over 30,000 customers. Julie led expansion of the growing international and consumer direct fulfillment sales markets, while improving the efficiency of serving Ingram's mature markets of traditional U.S. based booksellers.
As Senior Vice President, then President, of Ingram Periodicals Inc., Julie oversaw construction of a new office and distribution facility, and the addition of two other distribution facilities, for Ingram's magazine distribution business. This division also implemented a new order management system under her tenure.
Julie's public accounting experience includes serving clients in a variety of industries, such as construction, retailing, manufacturing, distribution, software development and financial services. Services provided have included business establishment; development of business plans, including financial modeling; budgeting and cost analysis; local, state and federal tax return preparation; and auditing.
Julie began her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a leading public accounting firm. She currently owns Julie Burns, CPA, pllc, a public accounting practice in Franklin, TN.
Julie holds a BS degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
